Cross of exile and partisan monuments

The building of the Old Pharmacy in Palanga was the headquarters of the NKVD in 1944-1951.
This historical fact is commemorated by a stone monument on the right side of the building’s main façade.
In 1988, a wooden cross was erected in the courtyard of the pharmacy to commemorate the exiles.
A dark granite slab next to the cross bears the names of the places where the people of Palanga were exiled and the names of the partisans.
