House of the composer Eduardas Balsys
Balsys Eduardas (1919-1984) – composer, teacher (musician), professor (1969-1984).
He settled in Palanga with his parents (1939) and later came to Palanga in the summer. He composed the ballet “Egle – Queen of the Snakes” (1960),
a poem for string orchestra “Reflections of the Sea” (1981). The house at 4 J. Šliūpo Street where the composer lived is marked by a monumental bas-relief (sculptor R. Midvikis, 1989).
